HACC Multicultural Tucker Program

The Multicultural Tucker Program is a community lunch activity that is held every second Wednesday of the month. It provides elderly people from diverse cultural backgrounds an opportunity to socialize in their first language. As part of regular program music, informative talk and a three course meal are provided. HACC Hepurn Moorabol Lunch

The Hepburn Moorabol Lunch is a bi monthly social support program for people from diverse backgrounds who are aged, have disability and feel isolated . Their carers are most welcome to join. This program is for the resident of Hepburn and Moorabol Shire only. Two course meal are provided.

If you feel this activity would benefit you or a friend please don't hesitate to let us know. If you can't attend because of transport problem or special dietary requirements please let us know and we can arrange it for you.

HACC Telelink

Telelink is a telephone friendship group that meets on the phoneonce a week for 45 minutes. Several groups for Telelink is formed depending on their interest or cultural background. BRMC Telelink concentrates on cultural groups to enable people of diverse cultural backgrounds who are frail,disabled or isolated, to speak with each other once a week via home telephone.

Telelink is an enjoyable way to make friends in the comfort of your own home.  Most participants look forward to the link as one of the highlights of their week, and often arrange to meet each other for an excursion. Even one marriage has resulted from Telelink.

HACC Friendly Visiting Program

It is designed to relieve the loneliness and isolation of people who are housebound due to age or health problems, whose mother tongue is not English.

All volunteers is fully trained,

Community Partners Program

Promoting and facilitating increased and sustained access by culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities with significant aged care needs to aged care information and support services.  One of the project of the Community Partners Program (CPP) is the "Coming Together " every first Friday of the month. Representative from various community service provider gathered together to tackle the issues and challenges in providing services to CALD communities.

English Classes

Trained volunteer tutors assist BRMC in providing help with English Language for people who have migrated to Australia. The program provides the following services:

Individual tuition for eligible clients
Informal english language class                              "Conversation Class"    Fridays 12:00-2:00pm                                                                                                                                            GPlace Cultural & Learnig Centre

Public Internet Access

The government is making internet access easier for the community  and BRMC has been fortunate to be chosen in making this happen. Computer and Internet access is a great help to recently arrived migrants, Senior Victorians (especially who have CALD backgrounds), local school children and tourists. As of the moment we have two computers and a printer  to serve you.  Public Internet Access is available Mondays-Fridays 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Cost : FREE for Computer and Internet  and  $0.20 for Printing
